But I realized early on that being a good trader and helping someone who is completely new truly understand the market are two very different skills.
I’ve worked with many students who started with little to no market experience. Sometimes a concept needs to be explained two or three times, approached from a different angle, or illustrated with a completely different example before it truly clicks. For me, that has always been one of the most rewarding parts of teaching.
That’s why, even though MBF now has its own team of Traders and Analysts, I still personally help develop and teach our educational programs.
The market tests more than your knowledge. It tests your emotions. Prices fall and fear sets in. Prices rise and FOMO takes over. A loss makes you want to win it back. I’ve experienced those emotions too. That’s why I want our students to build a strong foundation before moving further into the market.
I don’t expect you to finish a program knowing everything there is to know about the market. But when you look at a chart or read an analysis, you should understand what you’re looking at — and why you would choose to enter, or not enter, a trade.
Whether you eventually trade independently or use market analysis from the MBF team, the final decision should still be one you understand.
